The MSA-Talk list is a forum created by members of MSA to discuss topics of interest in the general areas of mineralogy, petrology, and crystallography. It is open to both members and non-members. READ: Ground Rules
Subscribe to MSA-talk by completing the information at https://minlists.org/list/msa-talk.minlists.org. You will be sent an e-mail requesting confirmation that you subscribed, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you to the list. You can use this same link to see the collection of prior postings, get a password reminder, change your subscription options, including bundling many messages together that can be delivered once per day, delivery disabling, or unsubscribe from MSA-talk.
MSA-talk is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrators.
All subscribers to the list will receive your message. The most effective messages are those whose simple text content can be readily seen and understood in an on screen window that does not require scrolling. If you have additional or more detailed information, include a link to where it can be found instead. Avoid attachments. They will be unwelcome by users who must rely on slow connections. Attachments overwork the system, and are one criteria that many servers use to identify and eliminate spam.
MSA-Talk messages after 09/30/2013 are available at MSA-Talk Archives
