Appendix 1. A vrml model of the data shown in Figure 7. Some of the inclusions around the edge of the garnet and fractures have been removed from the original data set to allow the trails to be seen more clearly. These models are best viewed using the freely available Cortona VRML Client, which works as a plug-in for most internet browsers. Cortona is available from www.parallelgraphics.com/products/cortona/ (Mac users see links on right side of page). Cortona is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 operating systems.
